How do i convince my teacher to pass me as m failing for the year?

just before the final exam of the year i had to suffer from jaundice..and i was really not well,i had given all of my medical application and and even the medical certificate,so i was late to submit all of my assignments but i did submit all of it somehow managing with my exams,theory studies and all. n now she failed me saying my works of the assignment are not satisfactory and low in quality. just due this i m being made to repeat the whole year.. y cant she consider my medical reason? plz plz help me out.
