How to get my cat to gain weight and methods to get her to eat?

When we found a stray, she was a bag of bones. The vet advised me to feed her kitten food as it has much higher fat content than regular cat food. Buy some kitten milk as well and try mixing together some dry kitten food with that. My cat is now healthy and gained weight thanks to feeding her kitten food. Good Luck :)
