Liver is sore/inflamed yet no other signs of hepatitis so what's up?

My liver is very sore to the palpation (touch) and it even hurts to lay on the right side. No jaundice, dark colored urine, vomiting or other typical side effects currently, and I only noticed this last night. I've had medicinally induced hepatits 9 years ago, and haven't been keeping up on my bloodwork. I am currently up to date on my Hep B vaccines. No new sex partners or drug use/tattoos. Could diet alone be the cause of this? Also, could this cause a lack of menstrual cycle in women (not pregnant)?
