What do you think of Texas Republicans trying to override the Fed on phasing out incandescent light bulbs?

Shouldn't Republicans be able to pick and choose what the Supremacy Clause applies to as Democrats do. I sure as heck don't want the government to tell me I have to purchase those expensive bulbs for the 33 bulbs that would have to replace the current bulbs in my home. Considering with my experience they last only a short time longer than incandescent bulbs do. After all, liberal states are trying to override the 1996 amendment "one man one woman". Shouldn't the Supremacy clause apply to that as well? But...nooo. This is one of those chosen by Democrats.
